Our prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Tax & Finance Attorney to join our team. This is an incredible opportunity for a seasoned professional who is looking to make a significant impact on our firm's success. The successful candidate will be part of a highly skilled team working on complex tax and finance matters, specifically in the areas of transactional experience, new market tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, renewable energy investment tax credits, tax credit & impact finance group, commercial real estate, commercial lending experience, structured finance, and federal income tax experience. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on tax and finance matters, including transactional experience, new market tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, renewable energy investment tax credits, tax credit & impact finance group.
- Handle legal matters related to commercial real estate, commercial lending, and structured finance.
- Represent clients in negotiations, litigation, and other legal proceedings.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex financial and tax-related agreements.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to advise clients on potential tax implications.
- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations and advise clients accordingly.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to provide comprehensive legal services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their legal needs are met and exceeded.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be barred and in good standing in the jurisdiction where practicing.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax and finance law, specifically in the areas of transactional experience, new market tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, renewable energy investment tax credits, tax credit & impact finance group, commercial real estate, commercial lending experience, structured finance, and federal income tax experience.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in legal research and writing.
