👋 In case we've never met before, we're WebMechanix - an award-winning digital marketing agency based in Columbia, MD. We run high-impact performance marketing programs for over 65+ clients, which means we have to understand our clients and our client's customers intimately and manage a lot of digital marketing and advertising to reach them.

As an SEO Manager, your primary responsibility is to leverage digital marketing techniques to increase organic traffic, improve keyword rankings, and enhance conversion rates for WebMechanix & its clients. You are expected to have working experience in Search Engine Optimization and to apply that knowledge with minimal oversight. While some of the work in your competencies is done independently, some projects or deliverables will be done with the aid of other subject matter experts and team members from other departments. Collaboration with team members and clients is integral to WebMechanix’s culture. This position will be responsible for maximizing our client’s rate of return on investment (budget and time) for SEO activities. A successful SEO Manager will stay up to date with the latest SEO trends, search engine algorithms, and digital marketing tools to ensure effective strategies.

• Conduct thorough industry research and keyword analysis to devise customized SEO strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure seamless execution and alignment with overarching marketing goals.
• Continuously evaluate and refine organic strategies based on performance metrics and industry best practices.
• Generate comprehensive reports and insights to showcase campaign effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making.
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination with creative and development teams to execute SEO-driven deliverables efficiently.
• Maintain accurate project management records and ensure timely completion of tasks to meet client expectations and project deadlines.
• Proactively identify opportunities for expanding scope and implementing innovative SEO techniques to drive maximum results for clients.

Requirements

Here's what you'll have:

• Proven track record of implementing successful SEO strategies, encompassing on-page, off-page, and technical optimization.
• Proficiency in data interpretation and analytics to derive actionable insights and inform strategic direction.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and communicate complex concepts to clients.
• Strategic mindset with a deep understanding of business principles and their application in digital marketing contexts.
• Leadership capabilities to inspire and guide team members towards shared objectives.
• Expertise in workflow management and optimization techniques to enhance productivity and deliver high-quality results consistently.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2+ years of digital marketing experience working in similar platforms/service lines

• 2+ years experience in a marketing agency is preferred

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000.

Based on experience, alternative titles for this position may include Marketing Strategist, Senior Marketing Strategist or Senior SEO Manager.
