Coeur Mining, Inc. is a U.S.-based, well-diversified, growing precious metals producer with four wholly-owned operations: the Palmarejo silver-gold complex in Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska, and the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota. In addition, the Company wholly-owns the Silvertip silver-zinc-lead development project in British Columbia and has interests in several precious metals exploration projects throughout North America.
The schedule for this position is 4 days on at the mine site located about 45-miles north of Juneau, accessible only through company transportation, and 3 days off.

Responsibilities:
* Ensure a safe workplace while supporting environmental policies and regulations.
* Assist with the shift pre-start safety and planning meeting.
* Ensure personnel have the required task training and documentation before engaging in activity where it is required. Assist in maintaining interdepartmental record keeping of such documentation.
* Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and accuracy in all operations procedures.
* Develop Training Programs - using combination of training room presentations, field training, and hands on training techniques. This may involve both training in a group setting as well as individual instruction.
* Work directly with technicians to train them in proper equipment operation techniques.
* Develop progress tracking and evaluation mechanisms to ensure the trainees are benefitting from provided training.
* Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for relevant areas of work.
* Assist in the selection process for potential operations employees/trainees.
* Attend both on-site and off-site training seminars as directed by the department head and, in turn, pass knowledge and learning on to the trainees in the work environment.
* Help and train as a safety coordinator when needed.
Knowledge, Skill, and Experience Requirements:
* Ability to work safe and promote safe behavior in others.
* 3 years combined experience related to underground mining, milling process, water treatment facilities, pug mill batch plant, paste plant and surface.
* 2 years' experience with Microsoft Office products.
* Ability to work independently and to accept responsibility.
* Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
* Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful; mature; flexible.
* Good reasoning abilities; well organized; work well under pressure.
