Summary:
The Orthopedic Technician assists physicians in all aspects of office care. Assists in procedure and general maintenance of equipment, supplies and exam rooms.


Formal Education Required:
a. High school diploma or equivalent.
b. Orthopedic Technologist Certification preferred.


Experience and Training Required:
a. One year orthopedic experience in lieu of Orthopedic Technologist Certification.


Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
b. Knowledge of medical terminology.
c. Basic computer skill.
d. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
