We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Oncologist to join our dynamic team and lead our clinical research efforts in the Texas region.

Job Summary

Lumi Research is seeking an oncologist as a Principal Investigator (PI), for current clinical trial studies that requires an oncologist practicing with a current medical license. We are looking to build long-term relationships and partnerships with the right physicians. It is PREFFERED (some instances may not be required) that the physician owns or can make decisions on behalf of their own practice (non-academic centers or not employed at large institutions).

The Primary Investigator Oncologist will spearhead clinical research projects focused on oncology. This role involves implementing and overseeing clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance cancer treatment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in oncology and a passion for improving patient care through scientific discovery. Previous experience in clinical trials is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Clinical Trials: Conduct and manage oncology clinical trials from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to protocols, regulatory requirements, and timelines.
  • Patient Care: Provide expert oncology care to patients participating in clinical trials, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Patient Enrollment: Able to identify and enroll patients that meet inclusion/exclusion criteria
  • Data Management: Oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation to ensure the integrity and accuracy of research findings.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a team of researchers, healthcare professionals, and external partners to advance clinical research initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all clinical trials comply with FDA regulations, GCP guidelines, and institutional policies.
  • Knowledge: remain up to speed with developments and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars

Qualifications

  • Education: Medical degree with specialization in Oncology.
  • Licensure: Board certification in Oncology and an active medical license.
  • Experience: Proven physician experience with their own practice or have access to patients.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and ethical considerations in oncology research.
